Pimples?
Well,
I have three pimples. Not ordinary ones, but the ones that are deep in the skin, are BIG, are red, and hurt to the touch. One is one my chin, the other one is on the side of my nose near my eye and the other one is on my forhead.
I need to know how I can get rid of them. It doesn’t have to be right away, but it would be nice if I could have them gone by Monday. My questions are:
- How are they caused?
- How do I get them to go away? (vanish them)
- Do I have to go out and buy a certain thing that can help them ( not pimple cream) ?
- Are there any home remedies that work really effectively?
And by the way I have Proactiv, and I know it works because I tried it last year and ordered it again, but it isn’t going to be here in like a week, soo…
By the way I have had acne like all my life and these are gross. I just want to know how these big undergrounders are caused.

omg those are cystic (undergrounder) pimples.
i get no other pimples but these. andi get them alot……they’re HELL. soooo painful and big.
i need to pay attention to the comments this gets cuz i wanna know how to get rid of them. (ive tried everything from toothpaste-mouthwash-nail polish remover)
It sounds silly but put toothpaste on them everynight before bed. The Crest Pro-Health works really good.
Also if you want to get rid of the redness get some Visine Red Eye drops and put them on the pimples. It will reduce the redness for about 3 hours.
Pimples are caused when dirt gets in your pores and gets infected. Gross i know.
I don’t really know of any home remedies.. I’ve tried them but none of them really work.
Another tip.. if your skin is oily then use the Swiss Hydrogen Peeling Mask (I think thats what its called). I use it once a week to keep my skin fresh and oil free.
Good luck! If you want more tips then just email me.

You have cycstic acne. My sister struggled with this too. She has tried everything from over the counter soaps and creams, home remedy types like toothpaste. She even tried ProActiv. She had no luck. She went on birth control and now her skin is super clear. It very well could be a hormonal issue that is causing it for you. Best wishes – s
Here’s the reason they are caused:
- Hormones
- Oily Face
- If your parents had pimples or acne, you’ll probably have a good chance of getting it to
- And washing your face too much or too little
How to get rid of them:
To be realistic, there is no cure for acne. Acne or pimples can hit anytime, but thats why I’m here to prepare you for it when it’s coming. Treatments and precautions can help.
- Washing face 2 times max. No more than 2. Over washing can rid of your natural oils and make the skin produce more oil then needed.
- Try using Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% or 2.0% Salicylic Acid. Benzoyl is more powerful in my opinion, but Salicylic wins people with sensitive skin. I use Salicylic Acid. Then again, everyone has different reactions to the chemicals.
- Don’t rub your skin dry. Remember, you want to be gentle to your skin. Scrubbing harder or rubbing harder isn’t going to do you any good. Just irritates the pimple, making it worse. Try patting dry after a wash.
- Don’t touch your face. Oils on hands will get on your skin and make things worse.
- Drinking 2 Liters of water everyday can help. Water keeps the skin moist and looking young. It also flushes your waste system (urine)
Well, I don’t know about any home remedies, but I heard putting tooth paste helps dry out the pimple. I wouldn’t recommend it but if you really have to, give it a go. Just put a dab of tooth paste (not gel paste) on the pimple. Let it sit there for 5 – 15 minutes then wash it off.
- You can buy Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash. Or any of the Clean and Clear products. Just look for Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% or Salicylic Acid 2&. (10% of Benzoyl Peroxide may be hard for sensitive skin people)
Good luck and Proactive looks like a promising product.
PS: Don’t use Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide products together. Severe Irritation will occur.
i do believe that we have the same, oily to combination skin type, especially around our T-Zone. It is interesting for people to think that avoiding creams can help solve oily skin. But its wrong.
You can best help your skin if you do the 3-step facial regimen: wash, tone and moisturize. Washing helps remove dust that accumulated on the surface of the skin, toning provides additional cleaning as well as it preps the skin by removing dead skin cells that can just block healthy cells’ absorption of the third step, the moisturizer.
The key is to be able to find the right product to help you with your problem. I can suggest the brand: Mario Badescu. They have a line of products that really is good for our type of skin, I personally recommend the Enzyme Cleansing Wash, Cucumber Toner and the best HONEY MOISTURIZER. If you use these products, they don’t have the same ‘’stretched-dry-skin” that other products leave. This is often the misconception of people, that dryness and no oil means clean skin. What Mario Badescu does is gently and effectively clean it. Plus they’re natural.
For additional cleaning and maintenance on acne, try their DRYING LOTION pink stuff that you put on your pimples which dries it, ACNE GEL, which serves as your drying lotion maintenance during day time. Check out their line of products online. I dont work for them, its just that they really work and i would like to share it with you.
Kudos to a healthier skin.
